Salvaged Snowman Ornament

*let it snow* let it snow* let it snow*
I do like adding new homemade ornaments to my tree every Christmas.  This salvaged tin and snowman should do it.  It took me a moment to wrap my mind around how to make this tin work.  Once I tucked the wee snowman in it all clicked.  Well sort of!  My good friend Bubblescrap gave me some helpful crafty input.  Phew... she's my hero!

Setting this snowy scene.

A tartan ribbon topper.

My grungy wee snowman painted with DecoArt paints and then rubbed off.  He's supposed to be salvaged so removing the paint seemed appropriate.

Some quote chips...

A few well placed snowballs.

Some icicles and this retro paper... my suggested missing element from Bubblescrap.

Oh my goodness my tree is going up this weekend and I can't wait to hang this on it.  These wee salvaged tins are really fun to create with.  A little challenging for me but I like that.  More holiday inspiration to come.

You know the Trinket Box die is more than a box.  You can create a frame with the window cut.   TA DA...

My inky Iced Spruce coffee filter flowers are created with the Pansy Flower Die.  So pretty and fluffy!

The sentiments are from my own stamp set Woodland Winter.

What possibilities do your dies have?

So much holiday inspiration coming.

Merry & Bright

Merry and Bright indeed.  Ya, it was a tombstone during Halloween but it's Christmas and it works too.  Spreading holiday cheer and inspiration with my festive wall hanging.

Hi, my name is Nicole and I have an addiction to trees!  It's true and I am OK with that.

Love these little vintage boxes filled with vintage ornaments.

I painted the top and bottom with DecoArt Media with added Lustre.  Mmmmm... Brass!

This little wee vintage Santa is painted with DecoArt, grunged and a little added Lustre.  I applied paint with my Dynasty Brushes then removed so it looks like it's seen decades of Christmas's!

I made little ornaments inked up with alcohol ink.

Another poinsettia...

I added a little Lustre to the starry topper.

Oh Joy...

Loving this all pulled together.  I am loving the wee Santa so much I got the Snowman too!  The big tree is a great addition to my massive brush bottle tree collection.  The addition of the inky ornaments pulls in the Merry and Bright elements. …

Glorious Mixed Media with DecoArt Media

I just received some new DecoArt Media paint and wanted to play a little in my Media Journal.  I stamped the new Glorious Gatherings stamp on the canvas pages and it is a Glorious stamp.  It feels a little moody and I am diggin' this look!

I used DecoArt White Gesso as a base for each page.

I painted the with my DecoArt Media paints with my Dynasty Brushes.

Sizzix Believe... yep, made this into a stencil and painted with DecoArt Media Carbon.

I created a Carolers Stencil and edged with the DecoArt Luster in Gold.  YUM!

Stamped and sprayed with Dylusions shimmer and candied apple distress spray stain.  Loving this subtle layer to offset the bold painting on the other page.  All about balance!

I edged the pages with DecoArt Black Antiquing Creme applied with my Dynasty Stencil Brush.
Same stamp and similar technique for this Christmas Card.  There is so much you can create.  You just have to be open to the possibilities!

It's a Jeep Christmas

I saw this adorable Jeep stamp a couple weeks ago and YES I NEEDED IT!  Considering I own a Jeep... have a Jeep Tattoo I should also have this stamp.  Check out my Micro Movie for this quick Christmas Card.
