Is anyone there? I have been so busy these days with family, teaching and crafting!  I am committing myself to playing EVERY month with Tim's Tags!  I'm really squeaking this one in!  I have a photo tutorial on this tag, how I got there "WITHOUT" all the goodies Tim used. I am just starting to collect some stains so I just picked up Barn Door.  I cheated with  Fire Brick Ink and water.  I loaded the tag with Barn Door Stain.  I'm staining so fast the photo blurred.
I stamped the ink pad on my mat.  Clever...
Then spritz the water and drag the tag through.  Go through the same spritzing of the tag and dry.
See it worked.  I drag my scissors and inked black. The stamp Tim used isn't available for me.  So I used what I have, Travel Blueprint!
After stamping the water paper I used my craft punch to notch out the postage edge.  Oh that cutting sucks!
I cut the airplane out...cause I'm crafty like that.
I don't have the markers and have no plan of getti…

Butterflies and Stamps

Today it feels like spring!  Well, not really but after temps in the -20c range anything over 0c feels warm!  I just picked up this stamp TH Papillon set.  I love the Paris background stamp and yes, even these butterflies/ moths.  I'm a year behind getting it but the new Eiffel Tower die coming and this was 50% off it was time to snap it up!  There's something about the Chicken Wire stamp!  I love the look so on it went with Versamark.  I stamped the grunge paper butterfly with one of the butterflies.
Once the ink is on I stamped the butterflies/ Moths. Stamping again the big one and cutting it it out, inking and mounting.
I'm guessing this one is a Moth.  Yuck...but it looks good on my tag! I created the leathery look of the hinge with grungboard, ink and Rock Candy.
Our Canadian Ground Hog says early spring!  Lets hope so...I'm going camping in the Rockies this coming weekend.

X's and O's

With Valentines just around the corner there had better be a Lovey Dovey Tag.  I still have to figure out how to make Tim's February Tag since the stamps aren't here.  Stay tuned for that! Using again the Urban Chic stamp set I stamped a tissue background.  Just layer those stamps all around the tag. I really went to town using the Stacked Words Valentines die.
I also cut the X's and O's in acetate.  Then some added bling with some sparkly Stickles.
This fun tag is another class I'm teaching today. Keeping it fun and easy:)
Thanks for all the Birthday wishes over the weekend:)  I was spoiled!
