An Experiment... Hit RECORD!!!

OK, super funny maybe not funny story.
I just got these Studio Style lights for filming.  I thought... Ohhh I'll make some pages in my Media Journal and test the lighting.  Meanwhile, you get a video out of the deal.  Ya... that would have been the best if I hit "record".  UGH...  a did this whole thing too with Scribble Sticks and Paint.

Check it out!  Ranger has Mixed Media Embossing Powders that I just got.  Ya, that was cool on video if I hot record.  There was all this stenciling and powders flowing!  Oscar nominated stuff.

Dylusion Paints and Dina Wakely has new washi tape so yep that went on too.

See the face see, see!  That's the scribble stick awesomeness!  All this dipping in water, scribbling and blending with the Dynasty Brushes.   I was all like "ya this is cool"!  No proof it was me...

Check out the Mixed Media Embossing Powder.  All close up and everything.

Layers and layers of paint, stamping, stencils, tissue.

If only there was a video…

Fall-O-Ween Five- Tombstone Primitive

I hope you have been enjoying my FALL-O-WEEN FIVE Inspiration.  This is the last project of 5.  Boo...  Diving into my DecoArt Mixed Media paints I went for a Primitive look.  Creating a worn stone look with TEXTURE SAND PASTE.  This stuff is yummy!

In this video I demonstrate the blending of the different Deco Art liquid acrylics on texture past brick.  A glimpse of how I built colour through blending with my Dynasty Brushes.

I created the Idea-Ology Tombstone Small to go with the Mixed Media Haunted Tombstone from a couple weeks ago.

I layered the BOO 3x to get a thick look.

A small detail with die cut leaves the new Tangled die and a pinecone.

#13... while you're here check out the textured sand paste.  OMGEEEE....

Tinny Florals dot this weathered stone.

The new Tangled die looks amazing... like thorn.

Between the sand paste and the textured brick... I mean can I get a AMEN!

That's a lot of texture.

It's a amazing what you can do with the right brushes and pain…

Fall-O-Ween Five- Worn Witches

Sh*t just got real!  The Witches are here.  Creating this background on a tag is so fast and wonderfully messy.  It doesn't have to be elaborate to be fabulous.  You don't need the latest of everything.  You just need to have some basics!

I'm lost ALL my YouTube peeps... It was a merge gone bad!  Help me rebuild and SUBSCRIBE.

Feelin' Wicked... I am always up for things that go bump in the night.

Punch it up with some embossing powder.

Embossing this new Holiday Truffle Aroma powder adds a little shimmer while keeping with that grungy feel.

Colouring the witches really helps them to pop.

People always ask... why a tag!  This is a small commitment to create on.  You can experiment here and if you love it apply it to a bigger piece of cardstock.  Creating doesn't have to be complicated... it just has to be fun!

Fall-O-Ween Five- Mixed Media

How about some mixed media fun!  Creating pages full of textures, paints, stencils, stamping... the list is endless.  Traveling through the different  elements of mixed media can be very freeing. Explore your paints, inks, crayons in those fall colours.

Watch these fun messy pages

Stamping on wooden medallions.  Why not!  This sentiment sums up the mixed media journey.

Texture paste on burlap.  Yes please!  Adding texture to this already awesome sub straight looks amazing.  Adding Oxides... #mindblowing.

Love this Multi Media Journal.  All the textures really get me thinking.

Because I can...

Just look at these rich colours and textures from the canvas.

Stamping and painting outside the lines!

Layers of tissue, paint, cloth, stencil... you are only limited by your creativity.

Do you journal?  Pull out your paints, stamps and stencils.  Just play!  Don't worry about how to do something, if it will look good, how it will …

Fall-O-Ween Five- Gather

It's Day Two of the Fall-O-Ween Inspiration series.

WATCH HERE or head over to my  YOUTUBE Channel.

Creating a simple watercolor background is easy.  When you you using your stuff to make your own pattern paper you are doing just that... using your stuff.  This card is all about inking your papers to create faLL foliage and pattern paper.

Inky watercolor foliage.

Using colours of the ink pad right onto your stamp, mist with water and stamping on watercolor paper makes a stunning simple background.

Adhere some fun stuff.

Little details make a big difference,

Be sure to check back for more Fall-O-Ween projects you keep you inspired.  Day Three is tomorrow!

Missed yesterday... here you go.
