BE MY VALENTINE

WARNING; It's a long post so be sure to read so you know why I made this

I never want flowers or chocolate for Valentines.  I'm not down on Valentines or anything.  It has taken me years to train my husband not to spoil me.  At first he thought I was saying no to flowers when really I wanted them.  For me, I always tell him, "Everyday is Valentines Day" with you.  OK don't leave...I actually mean it.  My husband is extremely affectionate...unlike the woman he married (that would be me).  It's a miracle I am loved so well and it was/ is a long road to believe I am deserving of it...but that's a whole other boring post.

Onto all the fun stuff....

I BUSTED my A$$ to make this project.  I didn't even think about it until 9:00am yesterday morning.  My husband travels every week out of Province and yes even on this day.  I wanted to make something special as he won't be with any of us:(  I have prepared a day of opening gifts with little bits of love sprinkled here and there...Oops just got a toothache!  Here we go...there are 5 in all.

As seen of FACEBOOK

Mini envelope with tag.  I added a cork from a bottle of wine we shared in Vernon and a box of treats to open on the plane.  You know, those sugar candies with the "Kiss Me" sentiments all wrapped in TH paper.

Make the edges of a paper bag decorative.

I used my Spellbinder at the end of the bag and ran it through my CB.  Be sure the end you want cut is "under" the paper.

LOOK, I MADE A MATCH BOOK!

Here I have it open.  Inside there is a $5 Starbucks card.  When my husband gets to the airport in the morning he always has one.  The mini red striped bag you can get HERE.  Including all the sentiments I used.

Midday (these are out of order)  he gets to open another treat, a Skor Bar.  Last week he mentioned he hadn't had one is forever.  Yep, that's right I was listening!

I decorated this mini Kraft Bag, perfect for treats such as a SKOR!

This bag is STUFFED with treats.  This is his mid morning gift to open and share with his staff.  It's a new position he has taken on, so connecting with staff any chance he can get helps.

The bag stamped for the "Staff Treats"

End of day in his hotel he gets to open his last Valentines present.  This bag is full of chocolate Looney's (that's our $1 coin for those that may not know) and fabric rose petals.  I created this tag and with my Versamark Pen I wrote "Looney For You" then embossed.

I made this tag a couple weeks ago and have it attatched to a small dog stuffy and Toblerone Bar.  That's where I wrote all that lovey dovey stuff.

I then stuffed my bag with all the treats...a lot to open in his hotel.

I decorated the bag with my TH goodies, gears, clock and stamps.

All together it is a lot.  But all day he will be reminded he is missed and loved.

My Valentine

I wanted to store all the treats in brown paper bags.  This way I could decorate, make it easy to travel and hide his stuff.  Everything I used  is what I had so in all the gift was $20.  But hours to prepare.  I had no clue how it would all end up.  Thanks for stopping in and sorry for all the photo's.

WISHING YOU A HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
