Another adventure with new to me paper and other fun goodies.
Xyron and "Hazelwood, a collection by 1canoe2 and American Crafts" are creating this week to bring some great projects your way! I hauled out my art journal for this Hazelwood Scrapbook paper! I must admit, creating these pages for DT commitments really gives a fun, creative and eclectic variety of pages. I am not a big paper person so creating this way really opens my creativity.

ACK... there's even these awesome Hazelwood Cork Diecuts!
Half the fun pulling out my dies to go with the
Hazelwood Scrapbook papers sent to me! Cutting the envelope and pocket envelope with the paper and add some inking with Oxide.
I
may have
embellished the pocket envelope then realized I should have run it through my
Creative Station. Look at that... runs it through easily.
I attached the envelope to the pocket envelope then ran both through the
Creative Station. I wanted to try see if I could use distress crayon on the
Hazelwood Cork Diecuts. So white gesso it is.
My pages was gessoed and scribbled some distress crayon for the background. Add some stenciling to create some layering showing the text of the pages.
I cut up one of the
Hazelwood Scrapbook papers I was sent to create some layering. I tacked the cuts together then ran the lot through my
Creative Station. So new to me and exciting I can do this stuff!
Attach all the paper die cuts and cut outs. Another new for me... running the
Hazelwood Cork Diecuts through the Create a Sticker. Came out beautifully. Colour and stencil the cork cut out.
This cute little cloud is cork too! I cut the mini airplane with chipboard and some more of the pattern paper then ran it them through the Create a Sticker.
I left one cork cut out so you can see how they come!
The stencil cork Hello is perfectly subtle.
I added a little grunge to the paper accents with distress crayon black soot!
Definitely a challenge to use things I would not normally create with and make it my own.
My art journal is certainly coming a long and creating for my DT this way makes it a lot of fun for me creatively. Check out this list below for supplies used and click the image for easy shopping!
