The Baron

Just a quick note before the tag.  I have updated my blog name to Nicole Wright Designs.  It's still me... but under a new name.  OK onto the fun!

Who's done their August Tag?  So...if you don't have the Thinlit dies Tim used yet...GET THEM!  I am sure creating the background would be way easier.  I did mange though with the Alphanumeric dies but it does take time.  With that said I loved creating this background.

Meet Sir Baron Beaknfly Esquire.

Inspired by Count Pekula and Lord Wampyr by two of my favorite bloggers and their amazing August Tags.  I had to get in on the action.

I love adding the words and inking, smudging with my distress markers.

I went for a bit of a British theme.  A nod to my lovely blogger peeps across the pond.  Using British words like Fortnight, Mate, Esquire and Cheers for my background.

I love the new Crazy Things accessories set to go with my Bird Crazy stamps.  There would be no Sir Baron Beaknfly Esquire without this set.  Just sayin'  I added a tiny tattered floral to his dapper hat!

I cut the the glasses out, trimmed one side and added it as a monocle then filled with glossy accents.

I coloured my Baron Beaknfly with the new distress marker blueprint sketch, stormy sky and hickory smoke.  Then I used my watercolor pen to blend,  Oh...and this is normal white cardstock called Candlelight.

Check out the new spot to get your Ranger stuff in Canada...and other goodies.  Emerald Creek Craft Supplies is still building and adding goodies so patients is a must for the moment.

I love the grunge!

I used some slate alcohol ink on the mirrored star and wee clock I had on hand.

I'm so excited to have my own Baron in the house.  Being inspired by so many creative people is so fun!

I'm always excited to share and support local business.  Check out Emerald Creek Craft Supplies  Online Store and follow them as they grow.  They are on Facebook too.

  3. Ha, ha, ha Nicole, Sir Baron is just such a hoot! I just love the star on his bow tie and the flower on his hat (wish Tim would design a monocle stamp now, it would look perfect....). I also love how you incorporated all those British words, such a clever idea. He is totally brilliant! Cheers for the mention too. Big hugs, Anne xx
