Frilly and Funkie- It's Time to Vacation

I just got back from vacation but I'm ready to go again and escape this cold and snow!  The Frilly and Funkie Team has done it again with awesome inspiration!   Get inspired and share with us your ideas of Vacation Time!

I made a 3D Pocket Watch a couple weeks ago and decided to make a similar one.

I cut some chipboard with the wee sea horse cut out of one of them.  Love the Movers and Shaper dies!  Then I gathered a bunch of Distress Paints.

If the sponge bit on top is dry just spritz with water!

I blotted all my colors on my mat.  Using a sponge pick up the colors and blot on the pocket watch cuts.

With the left over paints you can ink your ribbon.

I blot it around here and there.

OMG... I love Wendy Vecchi's embossing powders.  I decided to take the plunge and get a set.  I inked my die cuts with distress paints then sprinkled the embossing powders on each cut.  The result is beautiful!

I inked the edges of all my cuts.

I wanted some bubbles so I spritzed with peeled paint distress marker and my bubble stencil.

By sprinkling a pinch of embossing powder in cornflower and fern green it helps pop my sea horses.  They end up with a great texture.

I used the smaller sea horse cut from the pocket watch.  I inked with shaddy shutters distress paint and a pinch of fern green embossing powder.

The cut out sea horse has some package plastic and frosted film attached to the back.

I coated the front pocket watch with clear rock candy.  You can see the green bubbles layered underneath.

The small movers and shapers sand dollar is layered behind.  Inked with antique linen distress paint and a pinch of tree branch embossing powder.

There's that big messy bow with the leftover distress paints.

I hope you enjoyed my vacation time inspiration!  Stop by the Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog for more inspiration and share your vacation project for a chance to win some crafty goodies!

  6. Oh I love this, reminds me of vacation in Florida last winter, sure could use another one. Used these sea horse in a mini album that I made from Graphic 45 By The Sea. This would be a super addition to it. You have done an awesome job on putting this together and I love the colors.
