Counting Down with Eileen Hull

I've been a little busy lately creating projects to inspire you all!  While I've been doing that I've been working for the past month on a project for my family....an Advent Calendar.  I was inspired last year when I saw a tutorial by Layers of Ink, Anna- Karin. Not to mention Shelly Hickox Embellishment Chest. These projects got me hooked on Eileen Hull's dies.  I love building 3D Based projects so these dies fit perfectly with my style.

How did I end up being a guest blogger on Eileen's website? Well, it's a long story with a lot of emails back and forth and I think some begging on my part.  Hehe...

To see my Advent Calendar in full detail pop over to Eileen Hull's Website.

Here's a peek at some of it.

I picked up this vintage looking truck last spring for a Christmas project...of some sort.

I decorated it with my Christmas Rubs, Mini wreath and antlers and some micro vintage lights.

Don't forget to click HERE to see my "platforms" of Candy Drawer Boxes.

I used mini woodland trees for the topper on the smallest of the blocks/ cubes die.  I sprayed with distress spray stain festive berries.  I taped it up trying to get a candy cane effect.  It worked out OK.

I cut gadget gears in half for the tires.  With a stacked snowflake layered over top.  Here I attached the battery pack for the lights to the bottom of the platform.

Each set of candy drawers has it's own countdown numbers.

I love these little sleigh cuts!  I made one HERE the other day.  For this sleigh I sprayed my tree in layers of festive berries and evergreen bough.  I wasn't sure it would work but it did!

Loaded into the sleigh are some mini retro presents, greens and a tattered pinecone.

I finished it just in time and put it up for display by December 1st!

Want to see more... I made another one this past week for a lovely client.  Watch for an upcoming post soon featuring her family Advent Calendar customized.

Don't forget to swing by Eileen's blog and leave some blog love. You'll see more of my Advent on her blog.

Watch for more of my projects using Eileen Hull dies.  I have more planned projects to show off and blog about.  Exciting creations coming!  Thank you to Eileen for letting me loose on her blog!  I'm feeling like a lucky crafter!

I'll be sharing, sharing, sharing including Compendium of Curiosities 3 featuring the woodland trees and tinsel.  Nailed it... Inspiration Emporium is hosting this round along with goodies from Tim and Mario.
