Till Death Do Us Part

A Wedding card...not too creepy?  OK maybe a little.  I went to my nieces wedding this past weekend.  It was a gorgeous day for it.  Very unlike Calgary weather.  It's fall and close to Halloween so I thought this would be a fun card to create.

Behind the couple I used texture paste with the Halloween Stencil and my new Distress Spray Stains.

The Orante Frame die is fabulous for haunting out my card.  It can be used for any occasion but it always looks amazing for Halloween.   I covered it with black soot distress glitter.

I used a Found Relative wedding card for this...fitting.  I used my skeleton head rub for rubbing over the grooms head.

I crackled the card.  I was surprised that the card peeled and I love it.  Makes it creepier.

I added a black tattered pinecone flower.

The tattered pinecone flower pops over the layered leaf and greens.

I added a mini clip on the inside of the card.  Here I attached some cash for the bride and groom.  Our Canadian money is coloured so the $100 brown bill was a perfect colour for the card.

Don't you just love this font!  I cut the sentiments using the Spooktacular Decorative Strip and glued.  I made my own background paper using a stamp from the Random Quotes set.

Thanks for checking out my wedding card.  I sure hope the couple saw the humor in it!  Really, it could have gone either way!

  3. Nicole, I love how you think! I would be happy to receive a wedding card like this, but that's just me! Awesome details on this! I love the rub on idea, and I'm sure it's there for a good reason! I can't believe the peeling happened, but you made the most of it! Looks intentional! Great card and an excellent use of the dies!
