Tarnished Trophy, CC3 Challenge #2

I keep seeing the Compendium of Curiosity Challenges everywhere.  I was asked to make a going away card.  So I thought I would play along with CC3 Challenge #2, Distress Glitter!  Because I LOVE MY GLITTER!!!  And I had to make a card anyway;)

My wee Tutorial

I just got my Tarnished Trophy dies.  I didn't see me using them much and I was wrong.  I spent a little time cutting with my Vagabond.  Love that hummmmmm!

It's time to crack open all my MINI'S!

Applying some ink.  Did you see this posted on Facebook?

Yep, opened another pack!

I love how I store my distress glitter!  All those pretty colours.

The mini inks are great for inking my die cuts.  I am lovin their precision inking.

Once the pumice stone is applied add glossy accents.

Then cover in distress glitter.

All my new mini's tucked away.  I'm a couple packs short...for now.

Time for some spritzing with my lattice stencil.

Pretty in pumice stone!

I LOVE the speckled stencil.

I have been waiting to use my cargo stencil along with the mini distress tool.  So much easier to ink.

Did you know you can ink Distress Glitter!  SO AWESOME!

Using these stencils in different ways is a great way to layer.

I need green for my project!

The end result.

I had all these flowers made and ready to attach.  Way faster.

I glued the greenery into place.

I'm so excited to have a banner to stamp on.  REALLY EXCITED!

I was going to glitter the flower tips...but...nah!

I stamped the inside with my signature smudge at the top there!

The small tied bow is attached to the bottom because I love these bows.

Be sure to check out and Studio L3 CC3, Challenge #2.  The DT has done a beautiful job to inspire you too.  So leave them some love!  This challenge has a great prize from The Funky Junky Boutique

  10. Nicole...your card is awesome! Love your use of the glitter but be sure not to post the actual technique on your post! That is what the book is for. :) You did a beautiful job on your background of this card. I love the colors you've used and the sweet tea roses made from Tim's Tattered Pinecone die cut. The banner is very cool at the bottom, too. Thanks for sharing with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
