UPDATE; Altered Letters

Remember when I made this?  Ya, I know you remember.  But if you don't remember my Altered Letters click HERE to see the post.  This project is like a bottle of wine...it gets better with age.

My  husband asked me to update his Father's Day gift from 2012.  He wanted it on a board so it would have more stability.  This gift was in his Vancouver office and now it's back at his office in Calgary.  It's movement caused some breakage.  I've been updating all the photo's for his office and decided to give this D.A.D. an update as well.

Round Three, the UPDATE!

I decided to pick up a canvas from the $1 Store...where else!  The DAD part was done so all I needed to do was a backer with some punch.  I cut a piece of paper from the 12x12 French industrial paper pack.  I went with the map.  It's masculine and my husband travels a lot.

I used the writing desk ink well and feather as my husband is in print media so it's fitting.  The idea-ology letter tiles "BEST" are popped up in the center of the mini film strip.

I am a terrible flower maker.  Here is the proof.  I need the practice so I made a couple "print" paper.

I have been seeing the frameworks dies EVERYWHERE including my blog.  Using different papers for the pieces has been fun!  I added some foil paper, inked some pattern paper and I painted some of the chipboard cuts.

What can I say, I love these bows.  I also used my new distress marker spritzer with frayed burlap and the clock stencil on the map.

One of my favorite bloggers Barbara over at Yaya Scraps & More made a fabulous canvas.  She's so crafty she stamped the edges of the canvas.   She is beyond talented and a huge inspiration!

My husband and I spent the weekend giving his office a makeover!  We even built his new sit stand desk.  You can see why I needed to update his Father's Day gift.  Check out my honey with his new toy, his desk.  With all the updates we did it's good to freshen up the kids photos and the stuff I make for him.  Oh and I noticed He didn't have a photo of us in his office.  So I framed one of those too!

Thanks for checking out this updated DAD canvas and leaving a comment.  I love hearing from you.
