Shadow Box Curiosities

I have been busily working away on new displays for the LSS, Scrapbooker's Paradise!  Today I get to work on the Tim Holtz section!  YAY!!!  There's a few new goodies too.    I started by deconstructing this old shadow box and giving it a fresh look.  My way;)

The new letterpress letters are here!  The new frameworks dies and papers!

I layered foiled tape, embossed and painted.  I stamped on the Fluer de lis with the new Bird Feather stamp.  I love this one.  The picture wheel is distressed and some added film ribbon!  Did you Know; the film ribbon was given out at the 2014 Oscars in the goodie bags!

The new honeycomb FRAMEWORKS die just arrived.  It adds a great layer.  I used the new 8x8 Menagerie!

I filled the jar with this gauze fabric and added some rub ons.  Love the wood letterpress!
I love the window and pediments element.
Just a random box of numbers including a domino I painted.
These are the new Found Relative Portraits cards!  They are sooo cool.  I tore the ends off to fit the box then attached the torn edges to the outer box.  I gave the card a slight bend to fit.  Looks amazing!
This is my favorite one.  I stamped the random quotes script stamp onto water colour paper, vintage photo distressed ink and water coloured it.  More rubs on the ink well then I sanded it to further grunge it up.

I just love it!

Creating each box to tell it's own story!

I used TH Washi to wrap the edges.  I don't use washi that often but that was quick!
I kept the hardware from the old shadow box and used it for house numbers.
Pulled together this reclaimed shadow box has a new refreshed look.
If you live in the area and want to see this pop down to Scrapbooker's Paradise.
