Retro TV Metal Frame

YAY, another frame done!  Now that my Altered Bike Frame is all done I can move on.  I have been dying to create with this Prima Altered TV Frame!  I LOVE IT!  Unlike the Altered Bike I toned it down a little.  This way you can see each "RETRO" feature!

I used the stacked stars die in mustard seed distress glitter.  This warm yellow really adds a vintage touch!

I wanted to create a drive in effect. I cut a family relatives card and added some film strip ribbon.  So it appears as though we are right in the middle of a beach scene far right.

A little work went into the picture wheel die.  I cut small pieces of a family relatives card to fit into each slot.  I cut small 1" round chipboard from the movers and shapers die. Then created my own metal reels with a hole punch from the $1 Store.  I distressed with the metallic paints and inks.

The film strip ribbon is an excellent nostalgic layer.

I cut some film strip from the mini film and ticket strip die.  I added "FILM" cut out with the "WANTED" strip die font.
I cut up some paper pieces to create a bit of the poster effect behind the retro car.

I cut the small tickets, stamped then stacked and clipped into place.  A few more reels and I used one of my grandmother's vintage buttons for the "switch"!  Hot glued into place this button really adds to that vintage look.  It looks like it's apart of the TV.

I love these letterpress wood letters!  I painted the letters with tumbled glass distress paint then distress. I need a 2nd set of letters since it comes with 1 of each letter!  So I used this scrabble "R" for my lack on a 2nd "R".

I tried not to over load!  Which is hard for me.  I love to layer.

I was thrilled when I saw this TV.  What a great addition to my Media Room.

And this a great opportunity to play along with my new favorite challenge blog, A Vintage Journey!  This is challenge #2, Say it with Words!  Which I used "Retro Film" on my Retro TV!

Also, Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge is Glitter!  I wasn't going to use glitter.  But the stars and mustard yellow was too retro to pass up!
Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge is Lucky. Thank my "Lucky Stars" for these fun challenges.

Thanks for checking out my new Altered Metal TV Frame!  As always I so appreciate the time it take to leave a comment.  You all are the sweetest!
