February Tag...well not really.

For this month I have created a canvas trying the techniques used by Tim.  I will be creating a Tag but my heart stencil and stamps set are still en route heading north from Simon Says Stamps.  I did try to wait but I was too excited!

The Jumbo Tattered Floral is quickly becoming a favorite.  I guess I'm longing for spring.

The Garden Greens big die is fabulous.  I meant to dip it in crackle but I coated the cuts in glossy accents.  They still turned out amazing.  I used alcohol inks on the steams and what was a mistake turned into something beautiful!

I used some foil tape and cut the ornate frame then embossed.  A little black soot distress paint and this frame quickly becomes aged.  It subtle but on the canvas I used the harlequin stencil with iced spruced stain.  Then I stamps through using a TH letters stamp and black archival.

More floral with the mini tattered floral.  I cut the petals on grunge paper then used some more alcohol inks.  It's really vibrant.  A few metal gears and wire for trendils.  It's official, I have all the tattered floral dies.

I painted the center cut of the ornate frame with black soot then stamped the silhouette image with embossing ink.  The antiquities frosted crystal and chalk make her glow.

I layered tissue on grunge paper then stamped with the paris memoirs background stamp in archival black.  I inked with milled lavender, rusty hinge, worn lipstick and picked raspberry stain.  The leaves are stained with peeled paint and peacock feathers.  What a burst of colour.

I added the butterfly at the top attached to more twisty wire.  Bright and springy in peacock feathers distress glitter then inked with walnut stain.

I inked and layered some TH paper stash.  You can see some of the stamped harlequin stencil on the canvas.
Watch for a Tag post where I will get to break in the heart stencil and random quotes stamps.  Hopefully later this week?

I'm entering this project on Tim's blog.
