Christmas Cards in Water Colour

I finally got a chance to work on my Christmas Cards over the weekend and finished them.   I picked up the TH Christmas Blueprint stamp set last week for the December Tag.  But, I knew I would make my Christmas cards with this stamp set too.  I don't have a lot of Christmas stamps so this set is a treat for me!

All the cards are stamped with Scrappy Moms Stamps Christmas Cheer set...but I wrote in them all before I took the photo.  Bad Blogger...BAD!

All my cards are Standard A2 cards, 5 1/2"x 4 1/4". There are 4 stamps in the set, so I made 6 of each stamp.

I stamped using Archival Black Ink as this ink won't bleed when you're water colouring.  And it stamps nicely on the water colour paper.

I used my TH Kraft Resist Christmas pack for the design paper that I got last year.  Ink to give it colour, then rub off on the resist area's.

I have 2 types of pens, Aqua Pens and Blender Pens.  I use the Aqua on the bigger areas and Blender for the finer details and shadowing.  I used my Distress Inks for colouring.  This is where you can colour outside the lines.

Rough up the edges of all the paper and ink if you want.

Added some silver wired garland along the bottom with my Tiny Attacher.  I have TH Tinsel, but I wanted it fluffy.

Some Icicle Stickles on each image.  Gotta love the glittery bits.

Popped up the hat for the snowman, star for the tree and hat for the Toy Soldier.

Thanks for taking a peak:)

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed water colouring.  Making this years cards were fun and easy.  This is an easy technique and if you haven't tried it you should.  I think you'll love it.
