All Things Altered Summer Hop

Welcome to the "All Things Altered Summer Hop".

Make sure you start at the beginning and click HERE.  If you are moving right along then you should be hopping over from Pinky's blog and her fabulous Altered Project!

My Altered Project is a little light on Summer but defiantly Altered!  Can I just say I am beyond thrilled with how this turned out!  I have seen these all over Pinterest and I really wanted to try making one.  My husband was adding to our deck with some cedar and I stole a peice!

These cedar blocks I cut at 4" for the end pieces and 2x4's for the center. I used Sophisticated cartridge and cut the "big" letters at 5" and then cut the smaller ones around 2".  Sorry, it's been a couple of months.

I simply used Kraft paper for the letters and distressed with TH Walnut ink.  Using Modge Podge I painted the letters onto the 2x4's.

I picked up from Walmart some fun charms and added the clock for a little interest.

There are 5 of us in the family and this #5 is the end block.

For the washed wood look my son and I painted the wood with creal acrylic paint then we sanded the edges.

Here's my wood about to be cut.

This was the project my husband was building, the top of my privacy fense was getting filled in with wood and slate.  I did get in a little trouble for stealing the cedar!

Thanks for stopping by and now you are off to the fabulous Betty !
