Sympathy Card for a Boy

Not the easiest card to make. Especially considering this card is for a little boys family. He was the same age as my youngest son which made it feel even closer to home.  I put a lot into this card and it took all afternoon to make.  I really wanted the card to have a soft elegant feel, almost calming.

I created 2 cards and layered them together.

I punched 2 tags and stamped with SMS Mini Messages.  Then added a little "X"
with my tiny attacher.

This little blue butterfly is so pretty.

The card opened up fully.

Here, I added another butterfly and embossed a paper one.  I also cut out his name and added it above the ribbon.  Out of respect for the family I took the photo before adding his name.  I can assure you it's a beautiful touch.

I wanted the card to be soft if you know what I mean.

Again, I embossed the butterfly and the paper.

Sympathy cards are never easy.  And they are even harder when it's for a child.  The family is in my thoughts and prayers.
