Scrap your Summer

Get Well & SNEAK PEAK!

It was supposed to be a simple Get Well card!  It turned out a little more detailed then I thought it would.  But then I never know how anything I make will turn out in the end.  Also, Scrappy Moms Stamps is releasing 2 new sets.  So here is my sneak peak at the new Mini Messages.

What can I say, I am really into the Umbrella Man die.  Are you getting totally sick of him yet?  But doesn't he fit with the card!  I cut the card stock at 9 1/4" by 8" then scored down the center.  I wanted a tall legal size envelope...or is that a bill size?

I ran my card through my cuttlebug with Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.  Then I glued on the greyish buttons on the flowers.  I did change all the buttons as I had them blue at first.  As the card took form I needed to make the changes.  Pretty eh?

I also decorated the inside of the card with the coordinating DP from the umbrella.  It's a thick glitter paper.  The wide black ribbon I saved from a Disneyland purchase this past summer.  Don't throw anything away!  I then ran some white card stock through my Tiny Tags die and stamped an Antique Ledger stamp for background.  The "Get Well" sentiment is from the new Mini Messages set.

I stamped this great vintage stamp in versamark to make a resist for the 3" envelope, something for my tag to tuck in too.  I distressed with TH Pumice Stone and Black Soot...did I get that right?  OK grey and black!  A great spot to tuck a little note.  I finished the tag with the same Disney ribbon and an antique brad.

I punched the inside of the DP with the Martha Stewart Heart border punch.  I saved the hearts for the Umbrella Man.  I like how they trickle.  Then I stamps "Thinking of You" right onto the card...another stamp from Mini Messages.

I kept the card masculine for my intended family member.

Thanks for popping in.  Do you have a favorite part of the card?  I love the mini envelope and tag.  What a nice treat when it gets opened.
