Last Post of 2012, Maculine Tag

One More Post to close out 2012?

Today is my FIL's birthday.  So, all his kids and daughter's in law (my husband, BIL and SIL) all went in on a gift card together.  So, a masculine tag/ card holder.

I just picked up the Halloween Shadows die today (had to play).  I've seen these spooks pulling double duty and posing as people (carolers) instead of mere trick or treaters.  It got me thinking, since there are 5 of us (+grand kids) I used these people as a "FROM ALL OF US" type tag.

A few tickets stamped and inked along with the "For You" stamp from SMS Hoory for Birthdays stamp set.

I used tissue (from a shoe box) stamped it, then glued it to the tag.  I layered another piece of paper (newsprint) and embossed it for the pocket.  Be sure to distress and ink it.

I tied off some twine and an embellishment finishes off the tag.

A fun masculine tag to celebrate a special someone's birthday.

Have a Happy New Year and thank you for joining me for all my 2012 crafty fun!  Wonder what 2013 has in store?  I've got a few fun things planned.

SMS Stamp Release and Holiday Tag

SMS Release- Made With Love

Just a quick look of the last of my Holiday tags.  I made these ones to hold gift cards and have given them away.  Blues and whites, so pretty and crisp!

I stamped the TH Holiday stamp and clear embossed.  Then with my Distress Stains I soaked my tags with some messy fun.  The Pine Tree die is cut on grunge board, painted snowcap white and crackled with Rock Candy.  A little Icicle Stickles makes a subtle twinkle.  Then I added a splash of TH Tinsel or the top and bottom.  A quick simple tag.

Much the same as above but this time I used the Reindeer Flight die.

Attached to the back of the tags I cut these Pocket Envelopes.  Removing the top fold allows a peek at the gift card.  Using my 1" circle punch gives easy access to remove the gift.

For stamping I used SMS Christmas Cheer and the new Made with Love set.  This set has some awesome stamps to let people know it's "Made with Love":)

Wrapping up Christmas

Scrappy Moms Stamps has 2 new stamp sets releasing TODAY, Made with Love and Top That!  You know when you make something for someone and think...I wish I had one of those "Created Just for You" stamps...well now there's a WHOLE SET of them.  I used both new sets on my cute Holiday gift.

I've been baking away and wanted to spruce up my gift giving!  For these cute bags I used a combination of the "Top That" stamps.

Isn't this adorable!  The die cut is Top Note and the stickers are left over from those $2 Michael's grab bags last winter.

Colouring with my markers, I used the Snowman Soup stamps and the Road Trip Survival Kit stamps.

This is supposed to be Scarecrow Crunch, but it's Christmas so now it gets to be Snowman Crunch!

OK... I want someone to give me these.  The $1 Store clear bags really show off my homemade Butter Tarts, Cranberry Shortbread, Saltine Toffee Bark and Soft Ginger Cookies!

My GF before she moved left me crafty some stuff.  She left me these cute take-out boxes.  Perfect to package up these treats!

On the top I stamped from the Made with Love set, "Homemade for the Holidays" and embossed!

These are an office party Secret Santa gift.  Upon opening each box not only is there a Nummy Treat...they are all decorated with their toppers.

Thanks for popping in to see:)

Wine Gifting- Beyond the Bag!

Wine is a great hostess gift during the holidays and we are known to give some of our favorite wines to our neighbors. Also, my husband gives these to his managers along with a gift card every year.  Since a wine bag doesn't cut it... here's what I do!

I made 15 tags altogether with 3 designs.  Why don't I just make 15 tags the same?  Honestly, I switch it up for me otherwise I would get bored!

Tag #1- Yep, my pretty Tattered Poinsettia.  I stamped the tag, clear embossed for a resist and inked with Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo Inks.  Super easy!

Tag #2- A little more involved.  But oh so cute.  Inking the tag in Crushed Olive, Forrest Moss and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.  The pine tree die is cut on grunge board, the Movers and Shapers baby deer in the snow is cut with cork and I made. The Daddy Deer has antlers using a branch cut from Movers and Shapers.

Stamped in green and clear embossed is the TH Christmas Stamp, then I inked the whole tag in Firebrick and Barn Red Distressed Inks.  The Candelabra and Spider die makes this fun candle when you cut the end candles off.  Then I simple attached the Movers and Shapers Mini Wreath over the candle.

I needed to attach the gift cards.  So I used my TH Pocket Envelope die, cutting off the flap and a 1" circle punch for the notch.  I simply stamped the deer and sentiment from SMS Christmas Cheer set.

All the bottles lined up.  Now that's how you gift a wine bottle!

Just an added festive flare for gifting this holiday season.

Snowman Tag Gift Boxes

We've finally made it to the end of these tags I made as Gift's for my Husband to giveaway at his multiple Work Christmas Party's.  In total I made 13 boxes and 7 tag designs.  This way each venue had different tags on each box, no repeats.

I did some stamping, inking and enamelling for the tag!

The pine cones my sons picked off the ground for me this summer.  I added some glitter glue to them.  I cut some goodies with the Festive Greenery die and layered.

I love this snowman and so happy I snapped him up.  I cut the holly leaves and added a red berry.

These boxes contained multiple gift cards in the pillow bow (back left).  I cut the smaller reindeer out and added some acetate so you could see the GC's.  And the small tag holds a "Day Off" for the winning employee.

When the box is opened this is what they see.

All wrapped up with the heavy tag clipped on.

All 13 Gift Boxes with their tags.

Now that you've seen all the tags and boxes I've been working on since October...you can start some;)  Just kidding!  But even if you want to give away some small stuff, decorating a small box and making it festive is easy to do.

Rickety House Christmas Tag Challenge

Challenge...

My GF bought this TH tree die (we call it the ugly tree) and she wasn't sure if she wanted to keep it because it was to Halloweenie.  I wanted her to keep it so I told her I would show her how I could make it Christmassy!

I used a $1 Store Light Necklace on the tree then added some white glitter glue for snow on the branches.  There, not scary now!  I attached the Mini Wreath on the top window of the Rickety House.  I ran the house through my brick embossing folder.  So cool!

Popping the fence out allows to tuck things in and it's a cool effect.  I layered green pipe cleaner and bows from the Mini Wreath die to decorate the fence.  The some cotton ball for snow.

There's so much you can do with these dies and make them any season you want!

Making the scary tree Christmassy?  Did I do it?

Jalopy Christmas Tag

Such a huge fan of this Jaolpy die I wanted to make it Christmas.  Well, I wanted to try making a few of my non-Christmas dies Christmas.

I cut JOY using the Word Play die on grunge board.  Then some glitter glue and glossy accents. The tag is tinfoil adhered to the tag, embossed with snowflakes and painted with acrylic paint in gold. Sand once dry, then stamp the whole tag with Versamark and UTEE and heat. It's a great enamel!

I used my Movers and Shapers Mini Wreath to decorate the Jalopy.  Using some hot glue I added the mini jingles.  The car and wreath are painted and crackled using Rock Candy.

Popped on a decorated box.  Watch for a post to see what's in the box...

I hope this gives you some ideas on how to make non-Christmas stuff Christmassy.

Santa Soup plus a Bonus project

HAPPY 12/12/12

Ohhh aren't these cute!

A great gift for kids if you're going to visit or a teacher gift...or even an office party gift!  Check out how I made these for the Christmas Table setting:)  Scroll to the bottom to see my Bonus Project!

I used my TH Pillow Box die (again) to create the suits.  Just remove the end flap with the notch.

I cut a strip of white for the collar and embossed it with that folder...Divine Swirl(?)  Then some punching for the buttons and buckle.

I have a bunch of test tubes I picked up at my LSS.  Fill with a packet of hot chocolate (about half a pack), some crushed candy cane and a few mini marshmallows.

Then I made my little tag tied with twine.   Isn't this stamp adorable... Scrappy Moms Stamp from their new Christmas Cheer set.  Works perfect!

BONUS PROJECT!!!!

I made the same thing (made these first) but these are cutlery holders for the Christmas Table.  My BIL & SIL are hosting Christmas dinner in their home this year.  So, I made her 20 of these cutlery settings for her table.  I made 10 each of the red and green.  She can have kids one colour and adults another.  Or alternating colour for a more festive table setting.

How festive these will look!

These are really fast to make and one sheet of 8 1/2"x11" paper makes 2 pillow box cuts.  The best part...you can use up your scraps to build them.
