Lumiere

I was driving the other day and I had this idea... so I went with it.
I wanted to wrap the new Tim Holtz  Gothic Gate around something.  I found the perfect die... the Eileen Hull Cookie Box Die.  Usually I create the cookie box die so you can see it.  But it can also be the perfect holder for candy or in this case a battery tea light.

I started out with a few dies, Cookie Box DieGothic Gate and the new Twisted Edge... which I LOVE!  I recommend the Brush and Foam Pad for the Gothic Gate.  That was a a lot of poking.  Mine is on order.

Once the cookie box is assembled with paper, hot glue and ink I'm ready for attaching the Gothic Gate.  I glued the pillars together... 3 in all.  Then while that was drying I attached the Twisted Edge cuts on the inside of the cookie box.

I like to add a little shimmer with black tinsel twine.  For the Ghosts I cut chipboard and sprayed with black soot.  A coat of matte medium and pumice stone distress glitter for shimmer.

I ran my fingers along the edge of the ghosts to expose some of the black.  This is when I wrapped the Gothig Gate around the Cookie Box.  For fun I made a Jack face on one of my pumpkin halves.

Now that's glitter!

I tucked some Fall Foliage around his little face.

Removing the glitter off the edges make him look all worn out!

He should look pretty creepy at night and the glitter of the ghosts will shimmer.

To make your dies more versatile look at how they can be functional too.  The Cookie Box is a fabulous layer behind the Gothic Gate.  It's also functional to hold whatever you need.
