Give Thanks

It's Thanksgiving in Canada this weekend!

Last spring I created this festive frame for the Fall Issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine where you can see this project... on new stands now.  I love fall projects and have a few lined up for the month of October!

I wrapped a 4x6 canvas with burlap ribbon. The coloured the Occasions Found Relative boys with distress markers.

An easy way to frame out the photo is using twine. Next I grabbed some woodgrain watercolor paper and spray stains for my layered leaf.

Spritx the stain on the craft mat, blend with water and drag.

Spritz with water to help blend, dry and cut.  I then inked the edges and added some water droplets for a distressed look.

I inked up the letterpress blocks with distress paints. I then cut the Upper Typo for Thanks... add a little colour with carved pumpkin and ground espresso.  More water droplets for distressing.

I attached the letters of THANKS together.  Start layering...

I combined the  layered leaf with the Jumbo Tattered Pinecone and Tattered Pinecone.

Inky and distressed for the Give on the letterpress blocks turned out awesome.

Give Thanks
