Faux Wood Vintage Tag

It's May-Hem this month for the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team creating Mixed Media Sizzix projects with DecoArt Media products.  Join and share with us your Mixed Media projects.

I am the first to admit Mixed Media isn't my strongest talent.  However, I will say the DecoArts Media products are unreal!  Check out my Faux Wood Vintage Tag using Eileen Hull's new Luggage Tag from the Vintage Travel Collection and DecoArts Media products.

I am building my new kitchen table and benches.  So picking out maple and cherry wood got me totally inspired to make a Faux Wood Tag!

I dug through the big box I was sent and used these amazing brown acrylics.  I also wanted to try out the Texture Sand Paste!

Did you know a tiny drop of these vibrant acrylics can tint!

Awhile back I asked Southern Ridge Trading Company to make me these fun wood tags!  How fun are these!!!

I used some burlap and film strip to layer a photobooth image.  I coloured the bow and collar with fossilized amber distress marker. Peeled paint for the trees.

I love how well the media acrylics blend.

The texture sand paste is amazing!  It really adds to the texture of this Faux Wood Tag!

I'm still finding my way with mixed media, dabbling here and there.  By making it my own I was able to blend the Media Products, stencils and Sizzix dies to create something along my style!  I love how this turned out!

Be sure to pop in and see the AMAZING Mixed Media Sizzix projects the rest of the Inspiration Team has shared!  Upload and share your project!

Thanks for stopping by!

I snuck my challenge inspiration over to play along with Inspiration Journal.
