Art with Heart Challenge- Go Green

It's a new month and new theme for the Art with Heart Challenge.  This month is all about Going Green.  So get Going Green, create and share!  You'll get a month to play and there's always a great giveaway!

For this months challenge I decided to build a Windmill.  While I was waiting for the clear rock candy crackle paint to dry on another project I was looking at my Project to Love from last month.  I thought that would make a great Windmill!

I started with the Cookie Box die and double stacked it.  With the middle box from the block/cubes die perched on top and some feathers.

For the cookie box die I layered and embossed the textured impressions sunburst from the Sunburst and Waffle folder.

The box topper has the Waffle embossed.  I added these tattered pinecone roses for a splash of green!

For the "door" I used one of the hinges that is cut from the cookie box.  To stack these you need to cut 2 times but you only need one hinge.  I embossed again with the waffle folder and distressed.  A little hardware for the handle.

I tucked some more green and another flower at the bottom wrapped in the mini rosette.

I cut the feathers in watercolor paper from the Writing Desk die.  I attached them to some wooden skewers and finished off with a mini rosette and gumdrop inked with meadow alcohol ink.

Something a little different for the Cookie Box die.  Expand you creativity when using these dies and you may find yourself somewhere you never thought you would end up!
