Lately my posts have been for my DT's (which I love) but I wanted to just play today. I'm a wee bit under the weather with a cold. So, things are a little slow going. Since I'm part of the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team I received the "Make it 3D" die. This die can make any of your big dies 3D! So, I wanted to try.
3D Pocket Watch
I started by cutting these love birds from the All Occasions cards and circle movers and shapers.
I have been wanting to get the Pocket Watch die forever. I got it as part of my DT goodies from
The Funkie Junkie Boutique. I popped the circle inside the pocket watch to make the edge thicker.
Here's the Make it 3D die.
These are the cuts it makes depending on your project.
I used this one x2. This will make it's way around the pocket watch.
While I was away these yummy Deco Art Chalky Finish Paints arrived. I used them for the pocket watch.
I loaded the pocket watch up with tattered pinecone roses, butterflies and ribbon!
I cut the movers and shapers ticket then stamped from the Big Top set. I then added some rock candy distress glitter. Can you see it... (Toe- Idea-Ology Butterfly)
I coloured the couple with some distress markers.
Garden greens and butterflies are inked with the Deco Art Chalky paints then coated in rock candy distress glitter.
I used distress spray satins for the ribbon then added a little gumdrop.
(Tac & Toe)
Here you can see the Make it 3D.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Friday the 13th and wishing you all a Happy Valentines Day tomorrow!
For this sweet couple I'll be playing along with these challenges...
I am just squeaking in for the Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge. This round has
Inspiration Emporium as the hosting Giveaway! Not to mention Tim and Mario.
NIcole what a beautiful work! Love your roses, perfect with this photo! So colorful ! Sorry for my absence , my Pc is back home today!!!! BArbarayaya
ReplyDeleteYAY...IT'S BACK!!!!!
DeleteHi Nicole. Sorry to read that you are under the weather. Hope that you are feeling better soon. Your pocket watch clock is darling. What a neat way to give it more dimension. I am curious on your clock how you used Tim's Rock Candy Glitter technique as shown on page 55 of his book. I see the glitter on the butterflies and they are darling but the technique is different from that. Anyway, I wanted to write to tell you that the clock is so cute...very creative. <3 Candy
ReplyDeleteThanks Candy, just disregard if I missed the mark. I feel like a Zombie ;)
DeleteAbsolutely sensational! Love it, love it, lurve it!!! What a great idea and so glad it's just for your for fun. I hope you get to feeling better shortly.
ReplyDeletehugs,

Hey...talk about Enabling Anne. Everything you make I want! I had to ask Eileen what the die was for... LOL!
DeleteHi Nicole, I have not seen this 3D die before but how useful. I now know I have needed this Die for a long time lol. Your clock is beautifully made and your flowers are stunning. A truly inspirational piece, TFS. Good luck with our challenge at A Vintage Journey.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend and I hope you feel better soon, Julie xx
I just learned about it myself Juliz! I am wondering how I missed out too. This makes all my Big Dies way more versatile! My GF mentioned she wants to use it for the Picture Wheel! How awesome!
DeleteI love this Nicole! Great use of the die!
ReplyDeleteHi, welcome back! I hope you feel better soon. I love your colors here - some of that Bermuda influence going on I think :-) Your flowers are so beautiful - I've cruised through your archived posts, and don't see a flower category. May have missed it with a short perusal, but if you do not have one, please consider at some point a flower tutorial! Especially with this die (and now the jumbo). And if you do have one, let me know :-)!! I've seen Tim and others - but it still is not working for me. Your step outs are so clear - so pretty please? :-) Great make, and could never tell you are under the weather! xx Lynn
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool tool! Love the 3D look and the oodles of gorgeous paper flowers!
