Scrap your Summer

Join me on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Blog for a Scrapbook Layout...?  Oh yeah... I went all scrappy for this post.  I am sharing my NEW about to release TINBIT TRAVELS Collection with Wild Whisper!    Swing by the    Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Blog  for a full tutorial!   PIN IT   EAT. SLEEP. CRAFT. {repeat}

Got the CHA Itchy Finger?

And so it begins...the WAIT!

I'm sure we can all agree the hard part is waiting for all those goodies to hit the stores.  I get full of ideas and it's like nothing will work until I have that color, die or stamp!  One of the ways I deal with it besides curling up into the fetal position and cry like a baby is to create with what I have along the lines of what I'm waiting for!  This helps me to stay engaged and eases that waiting frustration.

 While you wait here's a project to inspire using Eileen Hull's Cookie Box Die.

I wanted to make more of a grungy container.  No cookies here.

How awesome is this wood sign!  These were made for me by the very talented people at Southern Ridge Trading Company!  They were supposed to be attached the CHA Vintage Travel projects but the turn around time was too tight.

I got all inky with the eroded metal technique!

For the top and bottom I used some "travel" 8x8 paper stash.  Then using the SRTC Gears in metallic distress paints to layer the top!

I layered the mini jalopy a few cuts deep.  I had seen this done somewhere in blog land and I thought what a great idea!

I love this die!

I hope this keeps you crafting as we all wait for the new 2015 crafty goodies to start rolling in!

Since I'm doubling down on DT'S today so you can see this over on my Guest Post for Southern Ridge Trading Company!

  2. Having to wait is indeed painful! but I love your way of 'coping'. Love the eroded metal finish and the 3D jalopy (seen it myself somewhere too... ;) maybe on an ATB?!!!) How cool to have got those wooden shapes with Eileen's name on them - make sure you save some for your next batch of samples. Jenny x

  5. I agree with everyone - you have fantastic coping skills in the midst of itchy fingers syndrome! Like everyone else, I look forward to the new releases. Thank you so much for the reminder that we actually DO have stash to tide us over, people! Note to self - put a note about this on the bathroom mirror :-)
