CC3- Challenge #4

Another CC3- Challenge #4 Layering Stencils

My youngest son turned 13 yesterday!!!!  Yep, 3 teenagers in the house. I spent a few hours yesterday making cards and other goodies for his birthday.  I will be posting those soon.  But I wanted to share with you my first embossing paste project.

I had used a gesso'd page from my mixed media journal.  I stamped the seahorse from nautical blueprint.  A layer of stripes stencil in faded jeans distress paint give it an under the sea vibe!

I'm new to mixed media so I don't have any "sprays".  But I did use some of my re-inkers to ink the background.

I used my bubbles stencil.  I'm sure I have it too thick.  But that's
OK, I'm learning.

I stamped my mini's on watercolor paper, inked and then fussy cut.  A coat of clear rock candy makes a great sparkle.

I smooshed some of my bubbles.  I guess they weren't dry yet.

UPDATE; Mix it Up post

With my excitement to show you my first mixed media pages I forgot to add the paste to my pages.  I have fixed my post with an UPDATE...Click HERE for these added photo's!

  8. This is very cool, Nicole and I don't think your paste is too thick. Its fun to experiment with the thickness of it for bolder or more subtle texture. Great work!
