I went all scrappy for this post.  I am sharing my NEW about to release TINBIT TRAVELS Collection with Wild Whisper!    Swing by the    Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Blog  for a full tutorial!   PIN IT   EAT. SLEEP. CRAFT. {repeat}

Giveaway and the Grungy Garden

Yep I am hosting a Giveaway.

A little thank you for all the votes and support you shared during the Sizzix Who Are You contest!!!  Check out the project and you'll scroll your way to the giveaway.

Before we get to my giveaway I wanted to show you a project I was "challenged" to do. I am not big on pattern papers.  I was challenged to create a project using the new Graphic 45 Botanical paper.  I wouldn't say I love Graphic 45 paper.  I wouldn't say I like the botanical paper...but keep in mind flowery isn't my thing when it comes to paper.  With that said I happily accept.

My goal here was to take "pretty" paper and make it grungy for this mini shadow box.  I distressed, inked and cracked.  I even fussy cut.  UGH...

Flowers aren't my thing but I do love my tattered floral dies including the Jumbo one!  Using the pattern paper (usually I would make my own) I inked with vintage photo and stormy sky.  The wee center flower is a fussy cut from a sheet.  VERY FUSSY!

Look, my new #hashtags stamps.  I stamped these baby's onto a scrap piece of flowery paper then inked and cut wee flags!

I cut the window/ window box die then inked with the new distress paint old paper.  I sanded it a little then inked with vintage photo and stormy sky.  Behind the window I stamped my favorite Random Quotes stamp.

A fussy cut butterfly with rock candy stickles on the wings.  I cut mini silhouette paint with black soot and cracked with some rock candy crackle.

The box portion of the window box is glued outward so I could tuck spring greenery sprigs and more fussy cut flowers.

Distressing the window box really works with the botanical paper.  Look at all those fussy cut flowers!

I hope I didn't loose any Graphic 45 Fans.  I may not be a fan of this style but I made it my own.  And I'm please how it turned out.  I tried to "nail it"!

***GIVEAWAY***

I have spent the past 2 weeks begging asking for votes...and asking.   I wanted to thank all those people the voted for me.  For taking the time to vote, cheering me on and so many words of encouragement. So Thank You!

  7. My all time favourite Sizzix die is Tim Holtz Sizzix GADGET GEARS. I'd have to say that this is my go to die. You can do so many things, like mask, layer, paint, distress, the possibilities are endless! I'm partial to this die, cuz I'm a "Steampunk Fanatic!" Ya know what's REALLY cool you can layer them with the ideology gears and game spinners. I usually don't glue the spinners down, so they are moveable. Congrats on the Win!! Enjoy your trip to California, can't wait to hear all about it!
    Cheers,
    Christina

    As for Sizzix dies... Well, I don't have many to choose from. I do have a little set of Sizzix mini labels that I got through Stampin' Up. I'm pretty sure they're retired now.
