Craft Room Organization; Part 2- Glass

Part 2; Glass Jars

In part 2 you'll see why I decided on a variety of glass jars to display various crafty things.  Next to my big issue with 12x12 paper storage from yesterday's post, Craft Room Oragnization; Part 1- Paper comes ribbon storage!  I really don't like this version of ribbon storage I own.  It goes with those cubes!  I don't like that some of my ribbon is too small to fit, how it unravels and how I have to take it all apart when I want one roll off!  I have found a good home for this ribbon storage option.  Just not my room.

Onto glass...

TA DA!  I was stalking Pinterest with no clue what I wanted to do for storing my ribbon.  I ended up going with jars!  OMG I love them!  The $1 Store has a great selection and variety of jars all for $2 each.  I was looking t the Ikea assorted sizes and I saved about $60 and got more jars!

In these awesome short fat jars I keep my grandmothers buttons and metal parts.  The center jars hold jars.

I love my mini jars in my big jar!

I have taller jars and this here you'll find twine, burlap and some great ribbon!

My husband emptied an Olive jar he thought I might like. In there are wood stamps I use for my homemade sponge blocks for my Inks. Not the pointy finger, I just like seeing that one.

These are my smaller jars great for Christmas and Halloween ribbon.

An assortment of shaped jars for more ribbon and crafty goodies.

The browns/green ribbon, more burlap and some washi tape.

These little jars have my coloured buttons and some wood pieces.

They sit in my new galvanized tin I found at Winners for $13.  But we'll come back to metal on another post!

I chose to go with the glass for a reason.  I love seeing my ribbon all messy and entwined with the other colours of ribbon.  They are grouped around my shelving mixed with metal and wood.  Just how I had envisioned it.  Using Glass is an elegant way to not only store but see your crafty things.

Thanks again for looking and for all your awesome comments.  Hmmm...what should I show you next?
