Victorian Carolers in Glitter

The first 5! And lots more to build. I like to keep my Christmas cards pretty basic otherwise things can get really out of hand.  I wasn't sure at first if I liked these Victorian Carolers?  Then I started seeing great stuff being created with them and I've warmed up.

I do my cards in 5's.  This way I don't get overwhelmed and creatively it's more fun.  I can't make every one a different card and I don't want to make them all the same.  Sticking to 5 at a time is easy and a couple hours later, I get to make 5 more...different!

I cut out the carolers "book" painted the chipboard snowcap then stamped the "Ice Skate" stamp from Old Fashion Christmas.  The text is perfectly small.

I painted them in black then cut them again trimming their hats and outfits.  I painted the outfits in peeled paint for the gentleman with matching distress glitter.  The lady is done the same but with festive berries.

I inked some cream card stock with evergreen bough and the sentiment is from Old Fashion Christmas.  Love this stamp!

These are cut at 4x12, folded and then end up being 4x6.  These Carolers are 5" tall so I needed some height.  Mounted on the Merriment paper with the sentiment from Simple Sayings.

Like I said, pretty easy!  I'm not sure if I "love" them in glitter but I did want something a little different.  And I'm pretty happy!  Onto the next 5!

  2. Not sure if I would call these cards simple ;) But they are great, and I like the sparkle for Christmas :)
I really like the detail of the words on her book :)
