Thanks for Paul McCartney

Well, this past weekend was an exciting one for my 16 year old daughter.  I may have mentioned what a massive Beatles fan she is.  This past summer we promised her if Paul McCartney ever came close to us we would try to get her tickets.  Well, 3 months later (wouldn't you know it) the dates were announced and we got her floor tickets to see her idol Paul McCartney in Vancouver BC.  Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday.... and Merry Christmas!

We called it the Ultimate Father/Daughter Date!  Sunday Nov 25th Mercedes and her Dad boarded a plane for Vancouver to see Paul Live at BC Place Stadium.  When she got home yesterday, she was full of stories and excitment.  So we decided to make her Daddy a Thank You card.

I grabbed an image from Google and printed for the grunge Union Jack paper, much like the Headboard I made for her.... remember? Then cut out IMAGINE with my TH Movers and Shapers die.

Mercedes and I made this card together *snort* more like 70/30!  But... she was present in charge of glue, punching, photo's and adhering.  She also picked the sentiment from SMS, Many Thanks stamp set.

Welcome back to Vancouver after 48 years!

What a lovely way to thank her Daddy for a day she will never forget.  She showed me what she wrote in the card.  Oh ya, he's gonna cry!

  2. Wow, what a lucky girl!! I personally would love to see Paul McCartney and I'm a mom of a 24 year old. Isn't it neat that our kids can relate and enjoy the same music that we do? Great card that you made together! TFS.

  3. Wonderful concert memory. I saw Paul Mc Cartney in concert at the American Airlines Center (AAC) in Dallas, TX. Enjoyed the concert. My fav concert of all is Rod Stewart. He walked through the audience and allowed photography. A close second is Elton John concert. 3rd fav concert is Adam Lambert that I saw at the Winstar Casino in OK. Paul's concert is my 4th fav.
