CANADA DAY Blog Hop

IT'S CANADA DAY!!!!

It's a great day to be a Canadian!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA... and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my husband.  I have 2 projects to celebrate Canada Day and my guy's birthday.  If you are just arriving from the colouring genius Kim's Blog then you are right on track!  Be sure to find my "word" to complete your sentence.  Here's a hint; it's near the bottom!

Ohhhh Canada.... I think my crafty wall hang screams Canada!  This project has double duty.  It's a hop project and a gift for my super talented, ispirational crafty BFF!  My close friend is moving to Australia for a few years and I wanted her to remember us.  This is for her new craft room.

This double sided Canadian paper is from my LSS.  I cut the sayings off the one side and used the maple leaves for the main paper.  Check out this awesome charm hanging at the top!  Found it at Walmart!

Each coaster has 2 letters and all together they come to say CANANA.  The letters are cut from TH Word Play, coloured black and added rock candy for a nice weathered look.  Keep scrolling to see!

Moose EH!  Had to be done.  Found these balsa wood moose and maple leaves at Walmart, $1 per bag.

Even the moose has an "EH" charm around his neck.

Probably my favorite feature on the project is this altered domino.  I trimmed the saying, glued and then covered it in Glossy Accents.  I just picked up the Tattered Pinecones die.  I am by no means good at making these yet.

The Movers and Shapers Mini Bird Cage and Bird was a perfect size to fill this spot.  An added Canadian Ribbon makes it a great layer!

All the A's are mounted on these wooden maple leaves.  I painted them with the crackle picket fence then added some distress ink.
Walmart also has 26 wood letters for $1.

Using the Movers and Shapers Mini Butterflies.  I cut on grunge board then cut again with the matching maple leaf paper.  Topped off with Glossy Accents.

BIRTHDAY CARD!!!!

Not only are we celebrating Canada Day, but today is my husband's birthday!  I wanted to show you a card using the Scrappy Moms Stamps, PROUDLY CANADIAN stamp set.  This new stamp set also happens to be on the GIVEAWAY list of great sponsors.  I am honored to be on the SMS DT and was thrilled when they said they would be happy to offer this set as a gift on our Canadian Hop.

I cut the #46 using the new TH Big Die, Word Play.  I ADORE this die and there is so much to create with it.  Well at least I think there is being I just got it!

I have always wanted a Diamond Plate embossing folder and TH just released one.  This is a perfect folder for a masculine card!  Just perfect for all my gears!

I combined 2 of my Scrappy Moms Stamps, Hoory for Birthday's and Proudly Canadian for this sentiment.

We have some great Canadian sponsors lined up for prizes and winning is going to be so much fun! All you need to do is hop along with us leave all that participants some lovely comments and pick up one "clue word" from each blog along the way.
