TBD Willy Wonka Challenge

"We are the music makers... and we are the dreamers of dreams."
Gene Wilder, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

This week TBD are channeling Willy Wonka and making some epic projects for you.  Your challenge this week is to make a bag, box or how about a candy bar wrapper.  The possibilities are endless!  Just make sure to add all that sweet candy or chocolates and the best part is eating after! For you, I made an altered project.  Taking an existing candy box and personalizing it.

Last week my husband bought me a box of Sweet Georgia Browns from Purdy's Chocolate (Canada's favorite chocolatier), YUM my favorite.  Well that was gone in no time but the box inspired this weeks project and so did the "Golden Ticket".  (I might add that as I write this post I have already broken in and am muching away.)

I knew I wanted a Golden Ticket somewhere in there.  But I had no gold paper, gold wrapping...gold anything.  So I grabbed the empty chocolate box out of my recycle bin, trimmed it, made a Golden Ticket and made it work.  I used my Summer Vacation Cart and cut this "ticket" out at 3".  I wrapped the chocolate box in paper scoring where I needed to wrap and taped.  The gumdrops and candies are cut from my Celebrations cart using DP and solid all cut at 2".  I think they sprinkle around perfectly.

The Digi makes a perfect Willy Wonka.  This is Timothy from Simply Betty Stamps, Victiorian Beauties.   Then I finished off with my Scrappy Moms Stamps sentiment from Sweet Somethings.  How it fits with this challenge and the Celebrations candies.

Want to be a Burtonesque Doll???  We are looking for 4 amazing Dolls.  If you'd like to explore the darker side of your craft come join the Dolls.  And you get to play with some fun stuff!  Have fun creating your sweet project!!!

Three Challenges in 1

This is my 2nd post today!

I was out and about this morning...STALKING you all and found myself inspired.  I have been doing weekly challenge cards for you through my DT stuff.  But these challenges got me excited.  So I ran with them and combined all the challenges together.  Yay, it's been so long since I did a challenge just for moi!

On Liz's Paper Loft she entered her fabulous coffin into a Halloween Challenge HERE.  OH YA...I got on that.  Then over at Haunted House Design they are having a Pink on the Brink Challenge.  Of course I LOVE Barb and her challenges.  And last but not least Tiddly Inks is hosting a Back to School Challenge!  I ADORE Tiddly Inks:)  If it's in "colour" click on it and you'll link to it!

For the Back to School challenge over at Tiddly Inks I used Back 2 School Emo Digi "Betty" from Simply Betty Stamps.  These new Emo Digi's are simply awesome!

For the Halloween Challenge over at Erin Lee Creative, I used my favorite Making Memories creepy paper.  I made sure I used Betty with her bats and I cut out this chandelier at 3" with my Home Decor cart!  I know...HOW FUN!

Now, for the last challenge over at Haunted House Design it's a colour challenge...PINK!  I blended my pinks with Betty, used pink papers, pink stickles and pink ribbon!

So there you have it.  My 3 in 1 challenge card!  That was fun!  Thanks for popping in again...if you were stalking me earlier;0)

S.W.A.K???

What is S.W.A.K?

That's what I was wondering when I saw this stamp in Scrappy Moms Amusing Animal stamps.  I even had to ask?  Once I found out, I knew this Frog Prince from the Create a Critter cart would fit with S.W.A.K!  So, what is S.W.A.K... "Sealed with a Kiss" Ahhh!

I made this cute card a couple months ago and am just finally around long enough to get it on my blog.  Nothing creepy about this adorable CAC Frog!  I stickled a little here and there and ran the lily pad through my CB.  This card took 15 min to pop off so if you're in a rush it's perfect.  Here's a little something I do.  I pre-cut some of my Critters so I can have them ready for a quicky... (NOT THAT KIND OF QUICKY) card to give someone in a pinch.

Pop over to Scrappy Mom's to see this stamp set and thier new releases.  And watch for upcoming sets!  I am using these FUN sets along with my other DT stuff and they go well with anything.  Not just the Cricut carts.  And if you're a CANADIAN Crafter, you can buy Scrappy Mom's stamp sets at SCRAP HUT!

***GIVEAWAY ALERT***

Just an FYI, Gigi's Creative Design is having an AWESOME GIVEAWAY!  She is Giving away an ATG Gun on her Blog.  Click HERE for a chance to win one of these.  I ADORE mey ATG Gun!

Lil Lolita's Sketch Challenge #12

It's a Sketch Challenge this week and the Lil Lolita's are ROCKIN!  I love Sketch Challenges.  And since the Sketch is already there for you, now all you have to do is create!  That's what is so great about a sketch, I banged this card out in no time.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet...like me.  Oh wait, I've used that line before. I guess it's a keeper!  I colour blended my SU Markers (I don't own Copics) and was dying to use orange and grey.  Yep, you could say Halloween is on my mind.  I stamped, embossed, punched and even used my Cricut.  I cut these bubbles from Graphically Speaking at 2".  The sentiment is a Scrappy Moms Stamps, Sweet Somethings.  And lookie at me, I tied another bow.  Now this may seem easy to most.  But if you've been following my blog then you know each bow for me is a milestone!

Here's your Sketch this week and good luck!

No Card, a DT Call and a Puppy

WHOA... The Dolls are taking a breather this week!  Sorry I'm late posting and no I have not forgotten you all.  My computer went in for service on Saturday and I just got it back.  The computer is fine, so it's the monitor.  For the moment I have it all working!

The Dolls are taking a week off to recharge our Mojo!  But we will be back next week with a "SWEET" project for you all to play along with!  In the meantime I wanted to let you know Simply Betty Stamps is having a DT Call!  Click HERE for details.  What a great DT this will be!

***PUPPY TIME***

Since I have no cards for you today I will post a couple of CHAOS pictures.  He is certainly making it hard to play with paper.  He turned 10 weeks yesterday and has been with  our "pack" for just over a week now.  He has settled in well, crate trained, housebroken (providing we don't mess up) and he is starting to sleep through the night.  Chaos can "sit", "stay" and "come" and can do all these tasks with hand commands.  No, he's not super puppy, just a lot of work on our part.  Sorry, I wanted to add some pictures sooner.  But if we are Facebook Friends (HERE) you have already seen some of these these.

Chaos 1st Day home after a play he's ready to nap.
New backyard.
Smelling someone's BBQ...MMMMM!
In the Dog Run modified for Chaos, he can walk through...for now.
Chaos and his Twin... read below.

I took this picture of Chaos this morning with his "twin".  Well not really, this framed photo is "Apollo" taken 10 years ago the day we brought him home.  Both Apollo and Choas are 10 weeks in these pictures.  Although they are not the same pedigree, they are from the same breeder.  I emailed this picture to our friends and family and they were pretty shocked how similar they look.

Thanks for popping in:0)

Scrappy Mom's Blog Hop!

Welcome to the 1st Scrappy Moms Stamps Blog Hop!

If you are just starting the Blog Hop start HERE

These fun sentiments are designed with variuos Cricut cartridges and can be applied to most carts! But for something different I tend to use them with my Digi's and Stamps. I know all the talented Ladies on the Scrappy Moms DT show them off so well with the carts. However, I like to show another way to use these great sentiments.  You should just be arriving from Mari's, she's so FABULOUS!

For my card I used Sweet Somethings stamps.  I use these on a lot of my cards.  They always seem to fit for anything!  I love this Tiddly Inks Gothic Cutie, Pinky!  And this is a cupcake I'd love to have!  As soon as I saw the "HEY CUPCAKE" from Sweet Somethings, I thought instantly of this Digi!  I also printed off the match DP.  I blended my Stampin Up Markers to make Pinky pop!  I made sure to use pink and blacks for my paper and green on her hair just for fun.  I colured the sentiment "Hey Cupcake" with matching green and pink, then punched it out.

If you have been looking for a diverse stamp set to compilement your next card, layout or project this is it.  The Scrappy Moms Stamps are a perfect addition to your sentiment collection.  Make sure to come back often to see what else I make with these sentiments.  I have some upcoming craftastic projects using Scrappy Moms Stamps.  I can't wait to use "A Haunting we will Go"!

Here's a peek at the new line of stamps sets coming out.    Click HERE to make your purchases.  As an added bonus there will be free international shipping today on all your Scrappy Moms Stamps purchases.

Now get Hopping over to Tammy's to see what she's crafted for you.  Thanks for Hopping by:0)

Lil Lolita's Rose for a Rose Challenge

Everything is coming up roses...isn't that how the saying goes?  This challenge for me wasn't so "rosey" only because I'm not a "flower" kind of crafter.  Although I have been trying.  And I don't have a rose in sight.  I did consider stamping this paper flower black.  But it didn't really fit with 30's Lylah and how I coloured her.

I went with hues of pinks and coral to get that rose coloured look.  Even though I don't have roses, I used floral DP and these paper flowers and added a little ink to the tips.  The diamond I cut from my Jasmine cart at 5".  Then popped 30's Lylah off that, again sponging on some coral ink.  The ribbon I had in my ribbon box and tied it off.  Oh ya...I tied!  Not very well though.  My sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Sweet Somthings and I think fits this sweet verion of 30's Lylah.

So, put on your rose coloured glasses, find all your roses and get crafting.  Join the Lil Lolita's this week and have fun with this rosey challenge!

TBD Challenge #16-Vincent

Have you ever heard of Tim Burton's Poem Vincent?  If you haven't your not alone.  I'm a Vincent newbie too.  So, I got to know Tim Burtons amazing poem about Vincent narrated by Vincent Price.  This short stop motion video was created back in 1982.  Take a moment to watch and get to know this weeks Burtonesque Dolls Challenge!

This week is a free for all for TBD and we get to play with any stamps we have! I used some of my favorite Tiddly Inks Digi's. It's so hard to pick one, but I went with Batty. You may have seen her here before.

I scraplifted this look HERE of a brightly coloured image and a subtle DP.  In this case I made my own DP.  A few months ago I bought a blank canvas on sale and have been waiting to use it.  I cut and frayed the canvas, then stamped with 3 colours, black, grey and sahara sand all from SU.  I love the subtle look which makes this Digi POP!

So check out the Vincent short video and get creative using whatever inspires you.  Then load it into The Burtonesque Dolls for a chance to win!

Simply Betty Stamps Emo Blog Hop

Emo School Kids Blog Hop

It's back to School for these Emo Kids.  Welcome to Simply Betty Stamps Emo School Kids.  This new line from Simply Betty Stamps is ready for Ghoul School!  If your just starting please start HERE so you won't miss any of these FABULOUS Emos!

You should just be arriving from Lisa's blog!  I hope you enjoyed her Emo creation!

Meet London and Miller.  These 2 Emo's are ready to get back to Ghoul School with all thier Ghoulish Besties.  Make sure to hop your way through all the Blogs to see where thier Ghoul Buddies are and how they are decked out for Ghoul School.  All these super talented blogs have done thier best to get them ready for thier debute!

For London and Miller I went with a 5x5 Easel card so I could squeaze in more stuff.  I used my fav paper for the background.  It had kind of a Ghoulish School feel, with the haunted building, ghosts and bats.  I used more mutted background colours so London and Miller could pop.  I borrowed Locker Talk from my crafty girlfriend and added some very scholastic elements.  I cut the ruler, scissors and sentiment at about 2" and layered the apple with my skull paper.  London's little dragon buddy fills in for the apples worm.  Giving Miller something to think about!

Thanks for Hopping by and leaving your awesome comments!  I love reading them all!  I hope you're having a GREAT hop and enjoying all the Emo's!  Now, hope on over to Suzi's blog...you're in for a real treat!

Lil Lolita's Challenge #10

Are you Spot On?

This week The Lolita Ladies are challenging you to get out your spots! Create a project using polka dots. Find those spots on paper, embellies, ribbon...poop bag? (I almost used my polka dot designer puppy poop bags...no joke) Click HERE to see what the beep I'm goin on about.

Show us your spots:0)
For this weeks Polka Dot challenge I had 50's Lilith all coloured and ready to go. I love her colour combo I used and lucky for me I had a scrap of matching DP hanging around. I used various circle shapes to make my polka dots funky! I cut the big scallop using my Cricut, Alphalicious at 3 3/4" and 3 1/4". Then hauled out all my scallop and circle punches to make it all dotted. Even grey flowers and buttons seemed to fit.

The sentiment is Scrappy Mom's, For the Boys. One of thier new stampsets I get to play with. I know I keep saying it, but these stamps go with anything!

Looking forward to seeing your spots!

TBD Challenge #15- 2 CARDS!

***BEWARE; MEGA POST***
I have 2 cards for you this week, both Sympathy cards.  It seems I used the wrong Lolita for this challenge.  My 2nd card is with 50's Lolita and you have a chance to win her and 80's Lolita for this weeks challenge.  Please check out both cards and feel free to let me know what you think...

Your pick!
It's all up to you this week and your favorite Tim Burton flick.  Create a project from a scene that shows off your Burtonesque Style.  This week the Dolls are rocking Tickled Pink Stamps.  And since I'm on the Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge Blog I may have a TPS kickin around here and there.  I LOVE these stamps!  Especially, this one!  This Lolita is my absolute fav:)

For my favorite Tim Burton scene I was going with Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. The scene has Sally sad since she loves Jack and he's kidnapped Santa! The swirls I cut from Graphically Speaking are cut at 1 3/4" and 1 1/2".  In the movie the hills surrounding Halloween Towne have these curls.

Because I needed to make a Sympathy card I thought her sad face was perfect to say I'm sorry.  In this case for the loss of a loved one.  The stamp set is Sweet Somethings, a Scrappy Moms stamp set.  I just got some new ones to show off for you and can't wait to get stampin!  A little pressure behind this card.  It's for my good friend that got me into card making a few years ago.  She makes AMAZING stuff!

****CARD #2, 50's Lilith***

Alright, so going away for 2 weeks and coming home to A LOT of emails I may have screwed myself and am refraining from using the F-word missed something important.  Like using the "correct" Lolita for this challenge.  So, I went back and made a 2nd card for you, 50's Lilith.  So get this.  The funky DP is actually Puppy Poo bags I picked up last week for our new puppy.  I bought this 8 pack of patterned bags just for these bags.  I thought this design would go so well with my DT stuff.  Seriously, you can find inspiration anywhere including puppy sh*t bags!  I crack me up!

We very much hope you'll craft with us this week and can't wait to find out which TB film is your fave and see your interpretation! You have until 10:00 p.m. PST (USA) on Tuesday, August 10th to link your creations for a chance to win 50s Lilith and 80s Sookie rubber stamps from TPS. Have fun and good luck!
