Gene Wilder, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
This week TBD are channeling Willy Wonka and making some epic projects for you. Your challenge this week is to make a bag, box or how about a candy bar wrapper. The possibilities are endless! Just make sure to add all that sweet candy or chocolates and the best part is eating after! For you, I made an altered project. Taking an existing candy box and personalizing it.
Last week my husband bought me a box of Sweet Georgia Browns from Purdy's Chocolate (Canada's favorite chocolatier), YUM my favorite. Well that was gone in no time but the box inspired this weeks project and so did the "Golden Ticket". (I might add that as I write this post I have already broken in and am muching away.)
I knew I wanted a Golden Ticket somewhere in there. But I had no gold paper, gold wrapping...gold anything. So I grabbed the empty chocolate box out of my recycle bin, trimmed it, made a Golden Ticket and made it work. I used my Summer Vacation Cart and cut this "ticket" out at 3". I wrapped the chocolate box in paper scoring where I needed to wrap and taped. The gumdrops and candies are cut from my Celebrations cart using DP and solid all cut at 2". I think they sprinkle around perfectly.
The Digi makes a perfect Willy Wonka. This is Timothy from Simply Betty Stamps, Victiorian Beauties. Then I finished off with my Scrappy Moms Stamps sentiment from Sweet Somethings. How it fits with this challenge and the Celebrations candies.
